About The Band

Monkey Wrench is a Long Island, New York based band, which performs an incredible replication of one of the world's most popular current rock bands:

The band consists of four very talented musicians: Danny Balzano (lead vocals & guitar), Scott Heller (bass guitar & backing vocals), Matt Kaye (guitar & backing vocals) and Jimi Jackson (drums).

We perform all of Foo Fighters hits, in addition to other album cuts (including rare B-sides), acoustic material, songs by other artists that Foo Fighters have covered and even material that Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl has performed with other acts.

On June 12, 2005 at approximately 12:45 AM (E.S.T), Monkey Wrench made tribute band history by performing live on MTV2's "24 Hours Of Foo". This performance of the Foo Fighters' song "Have It All" is believed to be the first time that a tribute band has performed a song on the same stage, using the same instruments, as the band they pay tribute to. You can watch video clips from this performance on the Audio/Video page of this website.
